The University of St. Thomas
Marketing Management
My journey toward earning a BA in Marketing has been anything but linear.
Going into college, I always knew I wanted to study business, but I was
not sure which direction to take.
Over time, I realized that marketing aligned perfectly with what I love most, connecting people with what they need. I enjoy being helpful, and for me, that means identifying real problems and finding thoughtful,
effective ways to solve them.
That understanding deepened even more as someone who comes from an underserved community. When you grow up in spaces that are often overlooked, you see firsthand how many needs go unmet.
That perspective pushes me to approach marketing not just as a business tool, but as a way to make sure more voices are heard and more people are seen
Abroad
Fashion Marketing
For the first time, being in Europe allowed me to connect my background in marketing to the field I am most passionate about: fashion.
In class, we explored the global influence of iconic brands like Gucci and Ferragamo, learning about their history, their strategy, and how they have built lasting legacies. But some of the most valuable
Lessons happened outside the classroom.
Walking through the streets of Milan and Paris, I saw fashion marketing come to life in storefronts, on billboards, and in the way
people expressed themselves through style.
It made everything I had studied feel real. I began to understand that fashion marketing is not just about selling clothes. It is about storytelling, identity, and cultural connection. This experience helped me see where my passion fits within the industry and pushed me to keep exploring
how marketing can make people feel seen.
